Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: 30 August 2026
This page explains, in plain language, how CDKeyCheap makes money and what that means for what you see on the site.
The short version
Right now, CDKeyCheap earns no commission from anything on this site. Every outbound link currently points to a Steam store page with no affiliate tracking attached, because Steam does not operate a public affiliate programme. We are saying so plainly because the honest answer today is “nothing”, and we would rather state that than imply otherwise.
What we intend to do
Our intended business model is affiliate commission. As we add further storefronts, some of them will operate affiliate programmes. If we are accepted into one, links from CDKeyCheap to that storefront may carry a tracking parameter, and if you buy something after following such a link, that store may pay us a small percentage of the sale.
This costs you nothing. An affiliate link does not raise the price you pay and does not change what the store charges. It simply tells the store that the visit came from us.
Our commitments to you
- Commission never changes a price. Prices are read from storefront APIs and reproduced as-is. We do not mark them up, adjust them, or delay showing a drop.
- Commission never changes an order. Offers on a game page are sorted by price. A store that pays us more will never be placed above a store that is cheaper.
- Commission never buys a listing. No store can pay to be included in, or excluded from, our catalogue.
- Commission-bearing links are marked. Outbound purchase links carry
rel="sponsored nofollow", and any page containing them says so. - We update this page first. If we join an affiliate programme, this disclosure changes at the same time, not afterwards.
What we are not paid for
We do not run sponsored reviews, paid editorial, or paid “featured store” placements. There is no advertising on this site. Nobody has paid for anything you can currently see here.
Regulatory note
This disclosure is provided in the spirit of the US FTC endorsement guidelines and the UK CMA guidance on affiliate marketing, both of which require clear and conspicuous disclosure of material connections. If you believe any part of this site falls short of that standard, please tell us and we will fix it.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, or you want to know whether a specific link earns us money, ask via the contact page and we will answer directly.
