Cookie Policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
CDKeyCheap stores your selected preferences and saved games in browser local storage. Our pages also include Google AdSense, which may use cookies and other identifiers when advertising services run. This page explains the difference and how to manage your choices.
Advertising cookies and identifiers
Our catalog application does not use account or login cookies. Google AdSense and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar identifiers for ad delivery, security, measurement and, where permitted and consented to, personalization. Personalized advertising may take account of visits to this and other sites. Read Google's cookie information and how Google uses information from partner sites.
What we store instead
We use browser local storage for the preferences and saved games you choose:
| Key | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
ckc-theme |
Remembers whether you chose the light or dark colour scheme. | Until you clear site data |
ckc-saved | Games you save in this browser | Until cleared or removed |
ckc-view | Grid or list view preference | Until site data is cleared |
ckc-currency | Your chosen display currency | Until site data is cleared |
ckc-rates | Cached public reference rates for conversion | Refreshed automatically; used for at most seven days |
The distinction matters. A cookie is transmitted to the server with every single request; local storage stays on your device and is read only by the page itself. Preferences stay on your device. Opening your saved list requests prices for its game IDs from our API; those requests can appear in server logs. See our privacy policy.
Your advertising choices
Where Google displays a consent message, use it to accept, reject or manage the available advertising choices. You can also manage personalized advertising in Google My Ad Center. Your browser may let you block third-party cookies or remove existing cookies. Blocking them may affect how advertising works.
Changing an advertising preference does not remove cookies already stored in your browser. You can delete them through your browser's site-data controls. Our theme, view, currency and saved-game preferences remain separate from Google's advertising choices.
Third-party content
Game images load from Valve content delivery network hosts, which receive your IP address and browser information as part of the request. See our privacy policy for details about advertising and other third parties.
Following a retailer offer supplied by CheapShark takes you through its deal redirect. Its affiliate tracking and the destination store's cookies are governed by their own policies.
Removing what we store
Clearing site data for cdkeycheap.com removes your theme, view preference and saved games. The site simply reverts to its default dark theme on your next visit.
