The Detective Town is a construction & management sim game which at the same time provides players with unique legal case investigation experiences.
Players play as a magistrate and detective in China’s Tang Dynasty. Help your residents start a new life, send constables to patrol the town, hear cases in courts, and investigate mysteries legal cases one after another.

As a fan of construction & management sim games, compared to busy gathering of resources all the time, I prefer to zoom in the camera and watch what my little men are doing. I find it’s a great way to relax. Sometimes I’m thinking, if there is story happening among these people, it will be much more interesting! Based on this idea, I design and develop this indie game. The game will not bring much resource anxiety to you, instead there will be stories happening among your little men. Moreover, as a magistrate as well as a detective, you need to solve legal cases for your people!

Story Background: strange cases happened during the sudden lunar eclipse in Great Tang Dynasty which was prosperous and peaceful before. Our main character LI Tian, as the apprentice of Judge DEE China’s Sherlock Holmes, worked in Dali Temple as the general affair manager. Due to an incident, Dali Temple was dismissed, and LI was exiled by the Employer to a remote small town. Li changed the town’s name to Dali Temple with the goal to bring revival to it.

Dali Temple: Dali Temple is the name of an ancient government office. It has nothing to do with temples. As a judicial organization, Dali Temple is in charge of reviewing major cases and rehear injustices in ancient China.

Game Features
1.Construction Planning
Various construction and decorations, more buildings will be unlocked after completion of tasks. Plan and build your own ancient detective town.


2.Resources Collection
Collect resources, dig rocks, plant trees, plan your people’s working area, and assign human resources wisely.


3.Team Management
Collect food, build restaurants and dormitories for your residents. Those residents have their own life demands. Try to observe them and make them happy by providing them with housing, jobs, entertainment, etc.


4.Trial Team
Elite residents can be appointed to be managers in judiciary buildings. They will join main character for large case investigation.


5.Court Hearing
Residents will come to court for solution of disputes and injustice, as a magistrate, players need to help solve these problems and get reputation in return. Reputation will enable players to level up.


6.Constable Office
For special tasks, players need to dispatch constables to catch suspects and criminals.


7.Main Plot Case
When main plot legal case is triggered, players will enter main plot case investigation session. Players need to find out the true criminal.


8.Professional Dubbing
The game tells a story of mystery and suspense but is presented in a funny style. Professional dubbing helps you better engaged with the content.
