A long time ago, on a distant plane of existence, Adhar the Overgod sat alone amongst the primal void. From his will he drew out the eternal flame sending it into the vortex of chaos and a new world began to form.
Telluria.The Eternal Flame was shaped into a divine being, Teine, that was meant to gave sustenance to the world itself.
Time passed and life began to form on Telluria. The first primitive humanoid beings began to worship the Flame as the giver of life.
Devotional energy was boosted by rites and pilgrimages. Teine, intoxicated by the newfound power led a rebellion against Adhar the Overgod, challenging him for the rule over Telluria. The wrath of Adhar was terrible. He turned his power on the world, sending fire from the sky, cataclysms, earthquakes. All life was extinct, cities and settlements were leveled. Earth covered them and the grass grew over all.
Teine herself was punished. Adhar split the Flame into two halves:
Vehra Demigoddess of Order
Celtia Demigoddess of Chaos
The two newborn entities were imprisoned on a celestial island adrift in the astral plane.
Telluria was duplicated in the void, being at the same time linked and separated from the twin world named Funea.
Then Adhar unleashed a terrible curse.
The twin deities alongside with the twin worlds were to be utterly destroyed in 3500 years, after a sign was given, unless a way was found to appease the Overgod.
The fabric of reality itself is torn, time and space coexist together, separated only by a thin veil of mystical flame.
4 plagues are now dooming the world in the 1st and the 3rd Age alike: Darkness, Disease, UnDeath, Rifts.
A young girl by the name Annelise awakens to find she's the Chosen One. But she's not the only One.
