THREAT ACTOR

Threat Actor is a party-based, cybercrime-themed game, where you roam a 2.5D map representing The Dark Web. You will encounter different marketplaces, quests, factions and cybercriminals. As you progress through the game, gain experience and money, you will be able to recruit additional members to your party, upgrade their skills, fight hostile factions and take control of The Dark Web's most important shops and servers.

The Dark Web

The Dark Web is a place of loneliness and despair. It's a vast space, filled with websites long forgotten and abandoned by their own creators. In this unoccupied space, so far away from the big media and moderated communities, the strangest of creatures are born. Cults, psychopaths, creeps, religious fanatics... Hidden in the shadows, they only wait for a careless wanderer to come their way.

Underground Marketplaces

Underground marketplaces are the hubs of criminal activity. Unlike the dead, eerie space of the surrounding Dark Web, the marketplaces are always buzzing with life. There is always stuff to be sold or bought, quests to be taken, cybercriminals to interact with and places where you and your party can take shelter in to recover some sanity. Each marketplace is controlled by a faction, with multiple factions fighting for the same marketplaces.

You are a cybercriminal

You play as a cybercriminal, a mentally ill hacker whose mind is rotten with the never-ending stream of dark web's cruelty. You are a ruthless, paranoia-ridden hacker who plans to build his cyberempire by any means necessary. As you explore The Dark Web and gain experience, your hacking skills will advance, and the reputation you've gained will help you to connect with other cybercriminals.

Upgrade your party

First roaming The Dark Web solo, as you gain money and experience, you'll be able to recruit different members to your party. Every member comes with his own class, traits and skills. The number of members you can recruit is limited by your reputation and your ability to pay them.

Urban legends

As you explore deeper into The Dark Web, you will encounter different cults and urban legends. Your deluded mind often can't tell what's real and what's not. Sometimes you feel like you're being observed. Followed. As if someone was in your room... you can almost hear his breath on your neck.

Manage cybercrime economy

Combolists, leaks, browser cookies, licenses, account credentials... every underground marketplace has a vast offer of illegal goods. Settle in one of them, upgrade it, improve your money-making operations, trade between marketplaces, complete quests and manage your group's expenses to gain a steady stream of funding for your cybercrime organization.
